Cohort Data type
What is a Cohort?
A cohort is a group of participants who share common characteristics and are observed over time in a research study. In the CMMI project, cohorts help organize participants for longitudinal studies and comparative analyses.
Types of Cohorts
- Longitudinal Cohorts: Participants followed over multiple time points
- Cross-sectional Cohorts: Participants studied at a single time point
- Disease-specific Cohorts: Groups defined by specific health conditions
Usage in CMMI-DCC
- Data Filtering: Filter analyses by cohort
- Comparative Studies: Compare outcomes between different cohorts
- Longitudinal Analysis: Track changes within cohorts over time
